Email: Polar opposite pants

Which is your pants style? Slouchy or stovepipe? That’s what Anthropologie wants to know in their latest email. Personally I prefer the structured look of slim fit jeans. However I do not like that denim brands seem to think that steampipe also has to mean extreme low rise. Coin slots? No thanks. Gap in the back? No fun. Muffin top? Guilty and hating it. And while I’m whining, could we please eliminate spandex from denim? Whoever thought of that needs to go to trial by fashion jury. Ditto whiskers on the thighs. I could go on. Give me a pair of medium rise, dark denim with pretty pockets and I am happy. (I’m convinced these do not exist at the moment. No wonder women own so many pairs of jeans.)

Fit issues aside Anthro has showcased their selection of pants both slouchy and stovepipe. Do any of these fit the bill for you?

Also a little off-topic note: Natalie from Anthropologie Addict has used her Anthro insider skills to showcase some products not yet available for purchase. Be sure to check out her posts from today!

I'm in for slouchy pants. I have curvy hips, so the stovepipes don't always look that great on me. I really like the Eltham Crops, but I can wait on them. I've been wearing only skirts and dresses lately, and now feel weird about pants.
