They are peplum, they are ruffled, they are buttoned and they are bowed. Anthropologie is being a little pen-silly with today’s email about pencil skirts. Many of the skirts they showcase — while glorious in their own way — aren’t really pencil skirts. For practical purposes I’ll play along but I am not fooled Anthro!
I did not realize until I zoomified that the Fluttering Pencil Skirt ($158) has subtle textured stripes within. The shape cannot be resisted though. It will showcase curves in the most perfect sense and it will reveal curves on the straighter shapes among us. I am ready for my real life closeup with this skirt.
The other skirt I am ready to rave about is the To-The-Point Skirt ($78). I wonder, can one have too many denim skirts? Hopefully I haven’t reached the saturation point because the simplicity of this one is drawing me in.
I tried on the fluttering pencil skirt today in-store it is AmaZing…the material is gorgeous…it's not at all what you'd expect from the picture…it's much beter..and the picture is nice…
I agree, you can never have too many denim skirts. Especially one that is dark and straight. Dress it up or down.
I am in total agreement with you on this post. I was perplexed by the email, too, but fell in love with the exact same skirts. The fluttering pencil skirt is so awesome. I can't wait to get paid again. I didn't see the denim skirt in my Anthro store :O( Maybe it will be at Fashion Island this weekend!
