Email: Soy Grande!

The post title is dedicated to anyone who watches “The Bachelorette.” Reid is such a kick! Welcome back to reality where emails are piling up in my Inbox and among them are a few Anthro teasers. Like the email above from last week officially announcing July’s new arrivals and the hot colors within.

While it’s by no means unique to Anthropologie who came up with the idea of unveiling clothing months before that season begins? I feel like retailers are really shooting themselves in the foot this year. I am not thinking about fall clothing for at least two months and by that time most of this stuff will be on sale. Good for consumers, bad for bottom lines. My most desired item the Honeyed Peplum Skirt ($258) doesn’t even start shipping until the end of the month. Is there no brand strategist to say, “ya know, let’s slow down our summer releases this year and hold off fall until it’s actually fall.”

And back on topic I took a second look at the Reversible Knot Tank ($68) in-store to see what the reversible pattern was. For the purple motif it’s navy polka dots. Quite cute and a spectacular idea! The grey motif reverse pattern is zebra stripes which I find a bit less versatile. I wish they showed the dual looks of each online.

I got the Reversible KNot in the blue. I love it. Bought cute pale blue bermudas to wear with it. I found a bunch of cute stuff last week or the week before. I also picked up the Hush Hush tee in orange (Sorry, I don't know how to hyperlink in a comment), the Asymmetrical Tank and a the jet set cargos. I first want the beach comber cargos, but I thought $172 seemed like a lot for cargo pants.
