Jeans, jeans…you wonderful things. Some make me tall and some make me lean. I can dress you up or down. I wear you to work and all about town. I have thin jeans and fat jeans and someday I’ll have mommy jeans too. When acid wash comes back I shall scream and cry boo-hoo, boo-hoo.
Believe it or not I buy most of my jeans at Anthro. They carry brands with roxy-friendly inseams (34″ and up, hooray!) and I’ve already professed my love for the Joe’s Jeans they stock. Just last week I also found a pair of J Brand jeans that didn’t make me muffin top which is nothing short of a miracle these days. So today’s email noting the expansion of their jeans option earns stellar marks from me.

I hope they continue to expand their denim offerings. Here in NYC denim bars are pretty ubiquitos but I appreciate that instead of displaying the cuts in cubes like Barney’s Co-op or National Jeans Company Anthropologie displays the jeans in the context of outfits. I also appreciate that they don’t hide their 30/31/32 waists in the back like some stores that I will publicly shame at a later time.
I do have a small quibble — the jeans in the email don’t correspond with their spots on the landing page. (I’m sorry, I have OCD like that.) I saw a pair I liked in the email and it was a bit disorienting when those jeans were in a different spot. This is probably not even an issue to anyone else….move along, nothing more to see here!
I saw a pair of J Brand skinny jeans that I really liked. They had zippers at the ankle, and that is one reason I didn't get them. The other is it is summer, and I rarely wear jeans in the summer. BUt, I have to return the Everyday, Everywhere Bermuda. They are ill fitting on me. They gape at the pockets horribly. And I got a 10 because the 8 pulled. I usually wear a 6! My point is maybe I will get the jeans since I am returning the shorts. I bought the shorts to wear with a coupe different tops. They are showing a bunch of tunic-y flow-y stuff (good for my pregnant belly) but I need skinny little bottoms to wear underneath. THe J Brand jeans would be great.
