Email: Sale so nice, we’re telling you twice

Anthropologie sent out a sale reminder email today. Looks like this one is slowly making its way out to everyone.

I had really good luck at the sale. I bought two dresses (There You Were Dress, Honeyhouse Dress) and a skirt (Stone Cloud Skirt). I think though that I am done for a little while as I replenish my wish list and remember that little budget I’m supposed to be sticking to. I hope the sale is bringing you good luck too.

Interestingly the There-You-Were Dress is still available online right this moment in a 2, 10, and 12 (probably only one of each). The dress doesn't show up on the sale page, but you can Google "Anthropologie There You Were Dress" and get to the page that way (or click my name–I pasted the URL there). I find Anthro does this a lot for items with *really* low stock–really only accessible/visible to those with the item on her wishlist… If anyone was still lusting after the dress, hope this helps!

What do you think of the stone-cloud skirt? I love the look, but is the fabric very stiff? Thanks!

Second val's thoughts on the stone & cloud skirt. The material is thick to keep it full but it's not stiff. Many thanks for calling out the June catalogue val.:) I am just waiting until they fully load the products — a bunch of the items aren't on-site yet so the page crashes/freezes when I try to get details.

this is kind of random, but roxy, here's a suggestion: what about setting up a type of exchange where readers post items they have and want to sell or exchange? I know they have one on J.Crew Aficionada, and it's worked out really well! Just a thought though…

Hi angela! Wonderful idea, I love the JCA weekly exchange (over at J.Crew Aficionada for the uninitiated, I highly recommend you visit Alexis's fantastic blog!). I'm all for starting something similar here if there is enough interest. Let me run a poll for a few days and if the response is there we'll kick it off in a couple of weeks.

Just wondering if anyone has been to the Corte Madera store, and if it's worth going to for the sale. I live an hour and a half away, so I want to make sure it's worth it for the trip!

Love the site! It's nice to know there are others out there as obsessed with this place as I am. I got a ton of stuff the first day of the sale, including the Isola Bella Rug (5 Round) for only $99.95, and on the website it is still full price at $298.00. I got there right when they opened and it was the first thing I snagged and they only had one, so I think they may have just been getting rid of the display rug. Still, it's in amazing condition and it was a steal.

this is a weird question, and i'm not sure if this is the most appropriate place to post: but i'm soo curious to see what sort of stuff anthro carried in its stores back in the 90s. is there anywhere online I could view the old catalogues?

I would love an exchange on this blog and I was thinking the same thing. The names of the items might be hard to remember though. We might need pictures. I love hunting for older pieces and I hate paying selling fees on Ebay!

Ditto on the exchange! There are pieces I am looking for, plus ones I am thinking of selling.

*sighs* I couldn't find the Stone & Cloud skirt anywhere at my local stores…and missed out on getting (what I think) would be my size online. But I'm not sure. It seems like Odille tops always fit freakishly small on me- I typically wear a size 0 in J Crew/BR/Nanette Lepore, but take anywhere from a 2 to a 4 in Odille tops. SO. How do the skirts run size wise? Big? Small? I snagged the skirt in a 4 petite (ordered online) and it should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. I also tried to snag the skirt in a 0 petite when I saw it online early Friday morning, but I have a bad feeling that one is going to get canceled and I'll be stuck with the 4. My shipping hasn't been updated and Anthro hasn't even charged me for the 0 petite and it's no longer available online, SO. BLAH.*crosses fingers until they turn purple*

Chloe, I have the same issue with Odille tops, always have to size up. The stone & cloud skirt fit me fine in my true size 8…but I also could have gone with a 10 and had it sit on my hips instead of my waist. I'm kind of worried that the 4 petite is going to be swimmy on you. I'm crossing my fingers that your 0 petite comes through!

I just bought the stone and cloud skirt yesterday. I agree the tops run small but I found this skirt to be true to size. I first tried on the 8 because I size up in skirts because I am so long legged and I like them sitting on my hips. It was too big. I had to go with a 6. I hope this helps. Now I need suggestions as to what to wear with the skirt! Any suggestions????

Thanks guys, but *cries*I love that skirt. *sniffles*
