Anthropologie: Coming to Canada

Anthropologie is going international! In addition to the store they’ll be opening in London next fall Anthro is very close to opening three locations in Canada. (And they’re hiring!)

Two of the shops will be near Toronto: one in the city’s fashionable Yorkville district and one just outside the city limits at the Don Mills Centre. The store at the Shops at Don Mills opens on April 22, I have not been able to find an opening date for the Yorkville store yet.

Finally, after some delays West Edmonton will also soon be home to an Anthropologie. The store will open at the West Edmonton mall this spring (tenatively scheduled for mid-May). Hooray to our friends up north! My question is whether the in-store prices will be American or Canadian (I am no expert on such things). Either way, at least you will avoid the duty by being able to buy in-store.

This is really good news! I just did a mock check out last night on the electric halter dress, which is $237 CAD, and the duty and taxes came to $75!!! I couldn't believe it. How come J Crew only charges one quarter of that price? I don't get it.

Hi! I've been a longtime reader/fan of your blog. 🙂 'Love it!I think this is great news – I'm definitely getting my sister (who lives in Canada, near Toronto) into Anthropologie. Not that that's good news to her budget. LOL!

Hi, I know this is totally off-topic, but I was wondering if you have ever seen the Rowenna Scarf in a store. I think it looks gorgeous, however theres no anthro close by. I'm not sure if it would be too large on my petite frame.BTW I love your blog, I read it every day, however I rarely comment :)Keep up the good work!Heres the link:http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=840263&navAction=jump&search=true&parentid=SEARCH_RESULTS

Hi iloveprettythings, I have not seen the Rowena scarf in-store but the product shot looks majorly floofed. The on-model shot looks like a petite mannequin and it's not overtaken by the scarf so I don't think you would be either. It is lovely; I will keep an eye for it this week.

Thanks! I was confused because the measurements seem large, yet in the picture it doesn't seem to big.
