Just like that, it’s Anthro Day weekend again!

In the mood to do some hauling at Anthropologie? You might be after hearing this: it’s a 20% off full price items weekend at Anthro, online and in-store too! The more Anthro’s Fall collection comes online the more I’m liking. Though they aren’t yet nailing quite the Anthropologie style we know and love we’re getting closer.

In dresses, Anthro’s clearly trying to win us back with very detailed dresses. Frocks like the playful Allison Embroidered Tunic Dress ($148, above) are certainly fun, if not quite back to the fit-and-flare shape we know and want. (That beret in the second product shot however? That has to go.) Its close cousin the Anfisa Tunic Dress ($158) also has me feeling pretty good right now.

You’ll find lots of new nearly-there dresses to put this promo discount towards. Some of my other favorites include the beautifully haunting Tracy Reese Ruffled Silk Dress ($400 and online-only), the very party-ready Sequined Dress ($748, online-only and my top charity ball dress choice) which are balanced by more work-ready options like the Claris Shirtdress ($148), Pinafore Cross-Back Dress ($158, love this so much) and Floral V-Neck Dress ($198).

There are trendier dresses waiting to be discovered too — for example although bell sleeves aren’t really my thing in Summer, in Fall they look great layered under a cute jacket, blazer or sweater. So frocks like the Daya Bell-Sleeve Dress ($548, above) and the Rose Garden Dress ($398) are on my wishlist. The promo discount will go far on pricey items like these.

I was already working on a post devoted to Anthropologie’s very cute new sweaters — I’ll run it this weekend while the promo is active — but it’s worth mentioning some of them here too. I highly recommend a trip through the sweaters section. You’ll likely be delighted! I know it’s still very warm in much of the USA but cold weather is not far off, so why not get the sweaters you want at a discount?

I may or may not have about 25 sweaters on my wishlist right now, including the brand new Michael Stars Snap-Button Turtleneck ($229) which reminds me lovingly of a sweater I splurged on in high school that lasted for many years before finally kicking the bucket. It’s too bad that this particular Michael Stars item isn’t made in the USA like so many of their products are, but it’s lovely nonetheless.

One might also find themselves drawing little hearts around the Cabin Off-The-Shoulder Pullover ($118), a deluxe sweater in a gorgeous red (and I adore this model!), the beaded flower-adorned Lili Embellished Pullover ($88), going gaga over the knitwork of the Crocheted Off-The-Shoulder Pullover ($118), enjoying the colorful beadwork on the Beaded Split-Neck Pullover ($168).

Who knows? Maybe you’ll even like the Soft-Sleeved Sweater ($98)…? It’s certainly…interesting.

Speaking of embellished, embroidered and whatnot, although I already own the non-embroidered version called the Pilcro Denim Boyfriend Jacket (now $50 + 25% off, no longer available in camo, on me here), I must admit that the new embroidered version called the Embroidered Camo Jacket ($138, above), has me intrigued. I struggle because I know the non-embroidered version is less trendy and will be wearable longer…but I looooove the new version so! If you have any thoughts please share in the comments — should I trade my old one in for this new version?

Other embellished items I’m liking include the Embellished Flannel Shirt ($138), the jaw-dropping Lillian Column Dress ($650, another item this promo discount would go quite far on), the Lia Embellished Tank ($118), the Bill Blass Sylvie Embellished Flats ($198) and the Janine Embroidered Dress ($228).

So much to choose from! What a nice change that is. Below, more picks that are 20% off this weekend.

Even though I’m a blogger and I’m supposed to urge you to buybuybuy through my links (that’s how it works these days, right?) instead I recommend that if you’re near a store you visit there because you may find sale is an extra 40% off! (I’ve been to 2 NYC Anthros this week where this is the case, their Financial District Anthro & Co and their 5th Ave Flatiron store.) Customer service will not PA to extra 40% off, it’s valid in select stores only. Online sale is an extra 25% off right now. You can get my most recent sale picks here and here (note the promos in those posts are old).

Happy Promo Shopping! What will you get? What have you already ordered or bought?

Happy Friday! I'm a fan of embroidered anything so of course I'd say get the embroidered camo!!

Also, can we please, as a society, STOP with the model shots where they are tugging their hem in opposite directions? 1. Nobody stands like that 2. That looks like a good way to stretch out your knits beyond redemption and 3. I can't even see what the hem line looks like in a shot like that. It's just dumb. It's not just Anthropologie, it's all retailers of tops.

Off topic, but I'm desperate-can anybody identify the top or dress shown under the Cozy Nights Kimono on the Anthropologie Personal Shopper IG a few days ago? I asked them then and even emailed Anthro directly but…crickets. I'd really like to wear this look for our family pictures! It's black with white flowers with red centers. I tried inserting an image here but could not. Anyone willing to take a gander would be my hero!

Oh that is so cute! I don't have an answer for you beyond saying that there is still so much of the Fall collection yet to come, so it's very possible it's a piece coming anytime between now and late November.

Thanks Roxy! I was just so hoping it wasn't an old piece I'd missed that had already sold out. Sounds like maybe something to look forward to! If it doesn't make it in time for our photos I can still see it as a great option for holiday parties!

I am a little tired of many of the models and especially the ridiculous poses, not to mention the braless wonders.

Braless wonders is referring to some of the models. Sorry, but I don't like the look.

I also love the Pinafore Crossback Dress. If anyone has tried it on…please let me know. I'm interested in how the sizing is.
One thing I have noticed wandering around my store is the amount of floral dresses..everything is floral it seems.
    Thanks for the post, Roxy!

That soft sleeved sweater looks like something out of Monsters, Inc.

      It's a look, that's for sure.

I'm glad to see the Allison Embroidered dress is back! The embroidery reminds me of all the lovely Lithe dresses from years ago :0)

I also have the original pilcro camo jacket and while I love the new embroidered one, I decided the original will play nice with more in my closet and be more versatile and less trendy in the long run.

      Very true Wild Flower!

Great post, Roxy. Taking another look at some pretties as I love embroidery, but since I prefer cottons, silks, linens, and wools most of them are off my list. I did get a PA on some basic trousers I had bought, so yeah!

Regarding the embroidered Camo jacket, I would say keep yours. The one you have seems to have slightly cooler undertones which really bring out your lovely complexion. If you really miss the embroidery, I would take that one to have a custom embroidery added in a red that suits you.

Thanks for the recommendation Eina, I tend to agree with you!
