Checking in with Anthropologie’s Tag Sale

Anthropologie’s Summer Tag Sale is in full swing, with new items added to markdowns late last week and most sale an extra 30% off (things like furniture and BHLDN items are excluded). I didn’t find myself needing much in the way of Spring/Summer clothing this year, and Anthro’s stuff didn’t resonate with me, so I’ve mostly been peeking in to the sale to see if there’s anything that jumps out at me.

There are several cute items among the muck. The Lorient Dress (now $130 + 30% off, above) for example was a dress I hadn’t noticed before. Corey Lynn Calter runs really small on curves — I often take a 12 in her dresses, but if you are on the more ruler-shaped side you can stick with your usual size. Love the lightweight material and the subtle embroidery on this dress!

We can count on Yumi Kim to come through, and another dress I’m just noticing now is the Laysan Floral Dress (now $130 + 30% off), which comes in the garden colors above as well as a blue/white motif. This dress has a beautiful neckline and pretty tea length without suffering from too much fabric or floof. I tried on a large which fit me well everywhere except the bust; I’d go with an XL and a belt.

For these lazy hazy muggy summer days, dresses in the making like the Colette Slip (now $50 + 30% off) are incredibly delightful to me. This slip has lovely lace side panels, a light and breathable fabric and a pleasant flowiness. I wear something like this slip or this one underneath it (often in a close color to the dress or one color lighter than my skintone), or when I’m looking for a more boho look I’ll layer another slipdress underneath, a la this one. Finish the look with a cute hat, sandals and my favorite bag or small crossbody of the moment, and I’m off.

A few favorites that I already own also made it to Tag Sale, including the versatile Meg Scalloped Tank (now $40 + 30% off), the AMO Bow Mid-Rise Straight Cropped Jeans (now $170 + 30% off, size UP, the darker wash remain stubbornly full price) and the Cloth & Stone Strappy V-Neck Blouse (now $50 + 30% off) which I wear as a beach cover-up.

I’m tempted to seek out the cute Sketched-Stripe Mini Skirt (now $60 + 30% off) to see how short it is in real life. What has you tempted right now in Tag Sale land? What have you picked up so far? Later today, we’ll talk new stuff at Anthro. Below are some of my latest Tag Sale faves; you can get more picks in another recent post.

I was browsing the site last night in an attempt to fall asleep (hehe) but the joke was on me as I ended up ordering the Suji Silk Dress and Windowpane Buttondown. I'm really looking forward to trying both on!

Btw I noticed Anthro started the B2S discount and it irks me (as it does every year) because they excluded students. Where's the logic in that?

Anyways nice to have you back Roxy!

I bought that as well and absolutely love it! I especially love that my TTS fits my 8 month pregnant body lol. Pretty safe to say it runs large! Also bought the Brooke Eyelet dress which looks great in photos but less great on me, unfortunately.

Hi ladies! Sorry for the OT comment, but wondering if anyone else is having trouble with a gateway error not letting them onto the FreePeople site? TIA!

Hmm I am not, and I have been on the site pretty much all day. It's possible your browser had an old version of the site cached. Is it still happening for you?

I second it…nice to see you, Roxy!
I think I only purchased one item from sale and it's the Nathalie Lete Oiseau Platter. I love her stuff and couldn't pass even though I really don't need another platter.
I have purchased a few reg. priced items ..Cloth and Stone Frayed Gingham Dress, Rienne Plaid Dress..(I know..I've gone crazy with the black and white plaid thing. I love black and white!), Dolan Draped tie waist skirt, a few other things, some bras that I love.

I went to my store in Chicago and there is still a ton of sale clothing. I am thinking price reduction and 40% coming soon?
