Add one more item to your agenda this long holiday weekend…

Feel like adding some shopping to your 4th of July long weekend agenda? It’s a classic weekend for clothing sales and this year is no exception, with up to 60% off some of my favorite brands (above: Boden!) and lots of fun Summer clothing you can grab for a steal.

Online or in-person face time, here are some of the sales worth highlighting today.

Anthropologie | The deal: Take an extra 30% off sale items during the Summer Tag Sale (no code required). Anthro members get Free Shipping on orders of $150+. | Picks: Hiding in the sea of stuff are Anthropologie classics like the Kalila Floral Dress, the Washed Linen Shirt and the Double Fringe Hoops. I’ve also grabbed the Abriana Dress (runs small) and the lovely Reversible Leather Tote Bag during this sale. Check out all my Tag Sale picks.

Boden | The deal: Take up to 60% off warm weather lovelies (no code required). Get Free Shipping on orders of $49+. | Picks: Certain pieces from Boden’s Icon collection like the stunning Eleanor Silk Dress made it to sale, you’ll also find timeless staples like the Sleeveless Cowl Neck (also in solids) and the Naomi A-Line Skirt. See more of my recent Boden favorites here.

Free People | The deal: Take 40% off select items, no code required. | Picks: Get details and picks here.

Gap | The deal: Take 60% off lots of Summer goodies. No code required. Then take 40% off your purchase with code HAPPY4TH. | Picks: This cardigan has been a good Summer layer for me; this dress fits well when you size down in the print and looks so pretty on (the solid version is not very flattering in my opinion); this tee is too cute for words!

J. Crew | The deal: Take 30% off your purchase with the code HOORAY. | Picks: Let’s celebrate the return of cute ruffles in the Ruffle top in stripe, wrap it up with a bow via the Tie-neck top in striped silk and then turn towards majorly appealing prototypical pieces like the Tiered top in merino wool, the Garment-dyed utility popover, the White denim skirt with raw hem, the Colette suede d’Orsay pumps and the Lace-up suede sandals.

LOFT | The deal: Take an extra 60% off sale items. No code required. | Picks: I’m wearing this cami and skirt as my 4th of July outfit; I also love bottoms including these tie-waist shorts, and this classic and these cute striped ones, or pants if you prefer, and then top them with this tank, this one-shoulder or this trendier top. More LOFT favorites are in this post (though the promo in that post is no longer valid.)

Lucky Brand | The deal: Take 40% off Summer Essentials and up to 60% off Summer Sale. | Picks: Ughhhhh this brand is so awesome this year! I’m loving tons of their stuff, especially their tops. From the 40% off markdowns, I adore this silk tank, this patterned tank, this embroidered tank, this tee and this peasant-style top; over in the 60% off you’ll find delights like this tank, this ditzy one and this long-sleeve tee.

Madewell | The deal: Take up to 40% off warm weather sandals and footwear. (No code required.) | Picks: I find Madewell’s footwear to be very comfy and there are super cute options on promo like the Lainy Ankle-Wrap Sandal, the Kaia Ankle-Wrap Sandal and the Greer Mule Sandal. Madewell’s doing very well right now and not feeling the need to promo much — check out my latest Madewell picks to see how pretty their stuff is and get a few outfit ideas, too.

Nordstrom | The deal: Tons of new markdowns are here! | Picks: Take the chill off in this cute two-toned military jacket, perhaps over this personal favorite dress with these heeled sandals or these flat ones?

Shopbop | The deal: Lots of new Summer cuts! | Picks: Check out all my picks on the homepage of this blog, right between the 4th and 5th posts.

There are so many sales this weekend I can't even look at some of those sites because I'm just spent out.

I do have some recommendations, however. From Anthro, These Sibilia sundrop earrings. They are big but light, and mine arrived in perfect condition. https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/valen-drop-ear… These lucite earrings are fun- I got the "blue motif" which is actually wine and pink. They are big but not too weighty. : https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/jupiter-drop-e

These bead and stone earrings are sold out but totally worth it if they pop back (or you can find them in store). Big and a little heavy, but really pretty: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/rectangular-dr… This top was featured in my store as a capelet over a dress, and it looks darling that way: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/villa-midi-top

For Free People I just got this jacket and love it. It's a statement piece for sure, but it feels really comfortable on and I love the way it sashays when I walk. 🙂 : https://www.freepeople.com/shop/smoke-and-mirrors

    Happy 4th everyone!!!!!!!

        Happy Fourth of July everyone!

Nice stuff at Free People lately and thanks for the link Anthropolitan. I'm pretty spent out for the moment myself after purchasing a pair of the Grove Lace-up Boots. Other than those, I'm liking quite a lot of goodies from there but holding back to see what comes up for Fall later:)

Ooh, which color of the Grove boots did you get, Jess? I've got all 4 colors on my wishlist and can't decide which one I like more.

I went a little crazy with those boots Anthropolitan hehe and purchased them in both the pink and the blue though the blue's on back order. They're TTS in my regular six and a half and absolutely gorgeous in person!

Thanks, Jess! Yeah, I can understand getting more than one pair of these. 🙂 I'm leaning towards the pink myself.

You'll love the pink ones! I also saw the new red pair which I'm sure will look so great with some Fall/Winter outfits, they're all really hard to choose from though so I wouldn't blame anyone for eventually getting all the colors lol.

Happy 4th! I've ordered a few things here or there..but went into the big PDX store downtown yesterday to return a couple of things..and there was a TON of stuff on sale, but nothing to buy! I know….sorry I'm repeating the same ole thing. 🙂
( I secretly wish the old small store was back…weird I know..but my store has changed so much and really…not for the better IMO.)I might have to head for the other one in town. They haven't gotten big and lifeless…soul-less :-/
I hope you all enjoy the festivities!

I know – the tag sale is taking up a bigger area of my store than I've ever seen and still I did not find one thing to take into the fitting room with me.

Hopefully fall is better. I'm already seeing some cute things popping up online.

Stopped in my local store to do a few returns today & was pleasantly surprised to see some new arrivals that were actually interesting & decent prices for Anthro. And some really cute delicate jewelry too. Fingers crossed this trend holds…

Wow ? you're right Shara! I just took a peek and now I'm going to checkout with my items before word gets around and things start disappearing.

The free ship helps and my June birthday discount is still valid. Could they finally be getting a clue??? I won't hold my breathe but I am very PLEASED in this moment 🙂

I would love to know what you bought Lindinha! And I'm jealous of your birthday discount. I need an Anthro day for 20% off! I got the Raffine blouse, the Graphic Cutout Tunic, the Londra Layered Top and the Bari v-neck Tunic. I'm also considering going back for the Fair Weather Wide-legs.

Hey Shara – I wouldn't be shocked if a promo is right around the bend and we get an adjustment on our orders! Tag Sale is so boring at this point.

Like you my eye was mainly on tops but I had to show a lot of restraint since I'm in the process of buying a house. Still I couldn't resist the DITI embroidered blouse by a New Delhi designer and Daisy post earrings. Those are on the way and then I wish-listed the Windowpane Button-down, Henley Handkerchief Jacket, Poplin Layered Pullover (I'm curious about the purse in the photo too), Boys + Arrow one-piece swimsuit, Tie-Sleeve Poplin Pullover, Tribeca embroidered dress, Yarn embellished tunic dress, Pintcuked Lace Tunic, Nilaya Dress ( I could get a lot of wear out of this), Bryony Apron Skirt, and a few rings and earrings! I'm on the fence about the Orleans Striped Wide Leg.

          So Much Stuff!!

I was pleasantly surprised when I popped into Anthro today. I snagged a few tees and tops from the tag sale but also bought the Eva Franco Waverly Garden skirt and would have bought the Amalfi Sequin Dress if they had had it in my size. I am feeling more confident that the old Anthro is coming back. An Anthro Day promo would be a real bonus right now.

The Amalfi sequin dress is really pretty.

I know. I am going to another location that has it first thing in the morning!

You guys, I found the best shirt in the tag sale. I was totally attracted to the rust colour and voluminous sleeves on the Ginnie tied-sleeve tunic but the overall effect was just a boring lump. Well, I thought about it a bit and went back to pick it up, unstitched the center seam in about 1 minute, and now it's the most awesome layering option- it works as an open coat/duster with a sleek dress or over jeans and can be crossed over and worn as a shirt tucked in…I love it! The puffy tied sleeves in linen feel very 19th century peasant. It's a perfect modern anthro piece.

I also was thrilled to find the Caprera embroidered off-the-shoulder top from Cloth and Stone- I was hoping to catch that one on sale. You can wear it on or off the shoulders and of course it's super soft (I love Cloth and Stone!)
