OOTD: Spring Pastels

Looking cute is my mission and this outfit makes me feel extra cute!

It’s a family weekend for my boyfriend and I which finds us celebrating Easter with one family, Passover with the other, and then Mexican Easter with our friends. This certainly calls for pastels! As I’m headed straight from work to my celebration extravaganza, I wanted to get the most out of this dress and wear it to work. It runs very small! I ended up exchanging this dress for a larger size after taking these photos. The leather moto, which runs small too, has been a total hit at work. And then there’s my darling Chloe Faye Mini Backpack, the darling of my closet that I’m wearing pretty much everyday. Together, it’s one fun power outfit.

I’m a big believer in feelings coming from the inside — happiness, for example is an inside job — and sometimes an outer catalyst is just the kick in the pants I need to get out of a funk. This entire outfit is composed of items that are little sparks of happiness. They serve as a great reminder that clothing is, for me, an exercise in happiness. It was items like these that recently inspired me to go on a big closet purge, partly because I love making room for new items each season and partly because I get an extra dose of good vibes when my closet is only stocked with clothing that I love and that loves me back, so to speak.
