Here’s where to get 40% off everything today, and Free Shipping too!

J.Crew Factory wants to help you build your closet with staples and classics.

I’ve been falling back in love with J.Crew recently — their designs are coming back to classics and just a bit of trend, and while the quality isn’t quite back to where it should be it’s improving incrementally.

Their offshoot, J.Crew Factory, has been a delight for me for several seasons now! I love how easy the ‘Mercantile’ Factory website makes it for me to fill in closet holes and acquire good casual and work outfits to round out my seasonal shopping.

Today is the last day of J.Crew Factory’s 40% off everything promotion (code: TOUCHDOWN), and I have a bunch of cute and flattering recommendations inside…

Cute sweaters await.

In need of some cute, functional sweaters? This J.Crew Factory promo is a fine time to pick up some basics in pure cotton and cashmere blends for a steal.

Perhaps nothing is cuter to me right now than the Dotted Caryn Cardigan Sweater (now $42) and coordinating shell. If solids are more your desire there is the Cotton Caryn Cardigan Sweater (now $33) with nice long sleeves and the Clare Cardigan Sweater (now $33), which has a fit akin to the retail ‘Jackie’ cardigan with cropped sleeves and a shorter body. I also absolutely love the Cotton V-Neck Sweater (now $30) which is a perfect lighter layer for overheated offices.

Here are some more picks worth taking a look at during this fantastic promo:
1 | Need cute office shoes? I love the Esme Suede Kitten Heels (now $77) for their low heel and good comfort.
2 | Another great work shoe is the Olive Suede Pump (now $79 + 40% off), which is an extra 40% off on clearance!
3 | I actually like the fit and feel of Factory’s Classic Chambray Shirt in Perfect Fit (now $41) better than the retail version.
4 | Ditto Factory’s Denim Jacket (now $50 + 40% off), which is especially great on taller people (5’7″ and above) thanks to the longer cut and slanted pockets without front seams. I own it and two colors and it’s perfect for work or casual!
5 | What do I wear under the denim jacket? Usually the Long-Sleeve Striped Boatneck T-Shirt (now $25-$30), which fits true to size and is great for winter layering or chillier spring days, though I’m also enamored of this swan tee shirt and this striped anchor tee.
6 | For hanging around the apartment or running errands, I adore the Long-Sleeve Artist T-Shirt (now $18), but only in the darker colors, as the lighter colors seem to have been produced too thinly.
7 | The Striped Artist T-Shirt (now $21) meanwhile seems to be perfect in any color.
8 | The Always Cardigan in Stripe (now $27) is a fantastic layering cardigan — I often wear mine for boat rides and off-season beach days.
9 | If you’re on the shorter side the Popover Tunic (now $36) is likely long enough to be a dress on you in the regular length.
10 | The print of the Basketweave Pencil Skirt (now $51) is so pretty in real life! I can’t get enough of it.

In addition to the full-price promo, you’ll also find TOUCHDOWN works to get an extra 40% off clearance items! I mentioned a couple of goodies in the roundup above but you’ll also find pretty layering vests, wonderfully warm coats, and perfect dresses just to name a few more.

Will you be partaking in this touchdown of a promo?

If Factory isn’t really your thing, J.Crew is offering 30% off sweaters today on its regular site (code: ZY3BU)! I noticed this promo is only showing on my phone so I’m not sure if it’s mobile only or available on the desktop site as well. Quick picks? I purchased the Tulle-Hem Cardigan Sweater ($128 + 30% off) and like it so much, and the Italian Cashmere Mixed-Stripe Crewneck Sweater ($228 + 30% off) is another great find for me this winter. (OOTD of each upcoming.)

Later today we’ll talk Sundance….

I've been buying a lot of J Crew lately and not much Anthro. I haven't liked much from the factory in a while, but the new line is great. I highly recommend the dotted Caryn Cardi and my new favorite the Striped Ruffle Hem Tee: https://factory.jcrew.com/womens-clothing/shirts_
At J Crew I love the Wool Bow Sweater, (and all sweaters are 30% off today) https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens_category/sweaters/
Both of these tops are wool or cotton respectively, they fit well, don't have giant sleeves, and are half the price Anthropologie would be asking. Normally I'm in Anthro's camp as it is just a bit more unconventional, but lately J Crew has been winning me over.
