While sale items continue to move briskly online and in Anthropologie stores, many of the brick & mortar locations are still stuffed full of inventory. With no room in the sale room will we see new markdowns or will an extra % off have to suffice for now? It’s time to play the Sale Guessing Game and find out!
This week also marks the traditional beginning of the Tag Sale. What is the Tag Sale? It’s a semi-annual sale where Anthropologie usually discounts sale items by an extra percentage, i.e. 30% off sale or 40% off sale. (You can read previous Tag Sale prep posts here and here.) The thing is we’ve had what amounts to a Tag Sale for the last few weeks. So the best we’ll get is a deeper discount on sale items and some little blue birds tell me another 50% off sale promotion is on the way. Last year Anthropologie ran rotating 25% off select full-priced item promotions but word is we won’t see that this December. Anthro is concentrating on clearing out the items already on sale. Nothing official to share yet though.
A community member reports 50% off sale will return tomorrow. This is unofficial (meaning not confirmed by Anthropologie).
I hit three of the NYC Anthropologies last weekend and there is just so much stuff in the stores! But still not a lot I’m interested in. Having moved into my new apartment last Thursday the home section is suddenly 100% more interesting to me, so I’d love to see a special discount there.
