Reviews: Sunrise Dress

Nanette Lepore has found her way into NYC’s Anthropologie stores once again. It’s always exciting — last year I got the Daydream Dress and this year there are two more to choose from (not online though. Lame, I know.). The Sunrise Dress ($498, link to official Nanette Lepore online store) was too tempting not to try on. I really like the back and the intricate pattern on the dress.

Here I am in the size 6. I felt mildly Egyptian in this or maybe a bit Blade Runner? In all seriousness Lepore has a real talent for streamlining and accentuating the feminine figure with amazing balance. My iPhone had trouble picking up the color in the dim dressing room light — it’s a lovely wine color.

The dress was pretty and I felt great in it. The silk material was high quality. But with no occasion to wear this to I can’t justify the price. It’s stunning, but back to the rack it went. I’m not sure of the name of the other dress and I have not seen it anywhere online yet. I will update this post when I do.

Hmm, definitely see the Blade Runner influence. But I love this dres. I often feel the same way when I spot a cute/pricy garment. It's not like I frequent fancy cocktail parties and it's certainly too dressy to wear to the office. Let's hope it eventually goes on sale!PS I am LOVING your reviews-super helpful!

I think you need to find an event for this great dress.
